Berisha: Minimum living wage will be extended to every Albanian, minimum salary 500 euros

The President of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, addressed the commitments of the Democratic Party to improve the lives of Albanians. The chief democrat promised to establish a living minimum of 200 euros for those who receive less or nothing, and a minimum salary of 500 euros, as well as increasing pensions by 20%, with the aim of doubling them. He also emphasized the increase of the average salary to 1200 euros.

Berisha : If we have an income of let's say 100 lek, it will be used for the realization of all our objectives for investment in man, in his life, in his coping, etc. in his prosperity and then they will have another destination.

I am grateful to all those who prepared the program, but also grateful to the deputies and departments for the amendments they prepared. Of course, these amendments are not voted, but these amendments are our mortgage, they are our solemn pledge to vote them in the first DP budget.

To put in the first DP budget, the minimum is 200 as a start and it is 3 times smaller than in Italy. There, they have cheaper food than here.

So, let's not think that the Albanian pensioner has the right to compare 100 times, 1000 times, because his peers buy food cheaper in Italy than here or in Greece, and this is the first step.

This vital minimum will be extended to every Albanian who receives less than that, or does not receive. Above this vital minimum, pensions will increase by 20% with the objective of doubling them, minimum wages will increase. The minimum wage will be 500 euros, and there will be no minimum wage below 500 euros, regardless of the effects that anyone can tell me that it will have on employment and so on.

Of course, if you work with slaves, you earn more. Yes, we are not of that philosophy. Working people should be paid at least 500 euros, it is the minimum.

The average salary will be 1200 euros, the maximum salary will not move, no. There is no moving. Because, as you know, dear friends, our maximum salaries are higher than in Croatia, than in Slovenia, than in other countries.

Of course, in the old concept this happens, when you don't have any kind of human or human character, you allow yourself to do such a thing.

I must reiterate here, I am not promising and I categorically do not promise golden spoons, but absolutely Albanians will come out on top for their salaries and pensions, at the top of the region, because there is no other country with the assets that Albania has, none other. Its riches are endless.

So, our entire program will have this primary objective, our entire income distribution will have this primary objective.

It is normal that every Albanian will ask the question: where will they find this money?
