Hoti: May 11 is the day of Albania's liberation from the clutches of the

Democratic Party MP Elda Hoti, during a meeting with Albanians in Athens, asked for their vote to remove Edi Rama from power and liberate Albania from the clutches of his regime.

Speech by MP, Elda Hoti:

Dear compatriots,

I want to begin these words by expressing my most sincere gratitude for your hospitality and for the fact that so many of you are here today, united by love for Albania and desire for a better future.

Your presence is a clear message: The Albanian diaspora does not accept Edi Rama's drug regime!

On May 11th, the diaspora will be a powerful force to influence and change the future of our country!

Once upon a time, Albania was a place of hope and all of you, all of us, were looking for a better life... we had hope to see that country developed.

Today, unfortunately, Albania is ruined, depopulated, and steeped in crime.

Today Albania has returned to the land of bandits!

In the land of thieves with collars who get rich on the sweat of the people.

In a place where crime is not punished but rewarded.

In a country where corruption is not fought but governs.

In a country where the government doesn't work for the citizens, but for the pockets of a handful of people.

But today, dear brothers and sisters, Albania does not belong to Edi Rama and his oligarchs!

Albania belongs to Albanians! Albania belongs to you! Albania belongs to your children!

We believe and will work for a different Albania.

For an Albania where no one escapes poverty and hopelessness.

for an Albania where employment is not a privilege, but a right.

for an Albania where justice is equal for all.

for an Albania where youth can build the future without being forced to emigrate.

In 12 years of misrule, Edi Rama has driven over 1 million Albanians from their homeland!

This is not just a number, but a national tragedy. An open wound for every Albanian family!

And our responsibility is to stop this catastrophe!

Today more than ever, Albania needs honest, courageous and determined people!

Today more than ever, Albania needs the diaspora!

You are proof that Albania can stand up and fight for its dignity!

Yesterday I felt regret when I heard some young people speak so passionately about the party that has forced thousands of their peers to leave Albania.

One of those young people said, "Is there anything better than staying and building your future in your own country?"

Albania is a country worth fighting for, he said.

And today I feel it is my duty, on behalf of all those young people who were forced to emigrate, to say a few words.

Yes, it's worth fighting for!

It's worth fighting crime and corruption!

It is worth fighting against those who killed the hope of our generation!

It's worth fighting against those who bring the third generation on the roads of the world with rubber dinghies!

It's worth fighting against every thief in this government, whether a minister, mayor, or prime minister!

It's worth fighting and ousting a prime minister who

I drink 33 thousand euros of wine, while Albanians count the crumbs on their tables!

It's worth fighting against a prime minister who spends 10 thousand euros on detox, while the Oncology Department lacks medicines for children with cancer!

It's worth fighting against a prime minister who spends 20 million euros on private charters, while the youth climb onto dinghies to escape this country!

It's worth fighting against a prime minister who is immersed in luxury, while pensioners choose between bread and medicine!

It's worth standing up and kicking out these bandits who are plundering our Albania once and for all!

It's worth fighting to overthrow a system rotten with corruption!

It is worth fighting for an Albania where citizens live with dignity, not in poverty!

We are the majority! They are the minority!

We are honest Albania! They are gangs who have plundered this country!

And their time is running out!

Edi Rama is the one who destroyed Albania!

The one who for 12 years has governed with oligarchs, drug traffickers, and organized crime!

The one who has sold the assets of this country to enrich himself and his clients!

The one who has forced hundreds of thousands of Albanians to flee, because Albania is no longer the land of dreams, but the land of disappointment!

Unfortunately, today Albania is no longer the country our parents dreamed of!

It is no longer the place where young people can build their future!

It is no longer the place where work and honesty are rewarded!

Every day, people lose trust because honest work has been replaced by connections and corruption!

The law does not apply to everyone! The country's wealth is in the hands of a few people!

So Dear brothers and sisters,

You, the Albanian diaspora, are the force that will bring the change that Albania deserves!

May 11th is your day!

It's our day!

It is the day when Albania begins to free itself from the clutches of this regime!

May 11th It is the turn of all Albanians who want a free, honest and European Albania.

On May 11th, all together, we will change this reality.
