The leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha, reacted after the incident in Memaliaj where three people lost their lives and another was injured during an assassination attempt.

Berisha said at the rally at "Rruga e Shpresa" that the life and safety of Albanians is today in the hands of the narco-state. Berisha emphasized that in recent years Albania has turned into a defender of crime.

"Albania turned into the protectorate of crime in these years. In every cell of this state, based on drugs, crime and theft, crime strikes, crime decides, crime rules.

In the span of 24 hours, the crime took three lives in Memaliaj, and injured one citizen. It wounded another in Tale, but my friends, it took the lives of two young men in the notorious prison of Fushë Kruja, who died, one on Friday and the other on Saturday. According to their state executioners, they died of natural causes, despite the fact that they were 39-32 years old respectively.
