Rama's new law, Berisha: I call on lecturers and students to protect

The head of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, has called on all lecturers and students to protect academic freedom in the face of the new law proposed by the Rama government.

From the rally to the "Road of Hope", Berisha said that the government is depriving the country of the freedom of scientific research and academic freedom.

Berisha: In this competition, Edi Rama has dealt a fatal blow to pre-university education, the destruction of which has brought about the biggest drop in the world in the quality test, in PISA, the drop of 68 points. He dealt a heavy blow, one of the heaviest, to higher education, halving in 9 years the number of students in the country's higher schools and doubling the fees.

Now, with the new law, violating the basic principles of the country's Constitution, he is giving the universities the blow of mercy.

As soon as he came to power, this fierce enemy of Albanian knowledge and being stopped the protection of degrees in public universities, an act that no government has ever done.

And now recently, he has decided to declare himself the chief scientist of Albania, the chairman of the National Scientific Council, in an act that Enver Hoxha, nor Mehmet Shehu, never did.

Neither Kim Jong Sun nor Kim Jong Un ever did. Only Edi Rama does it.

Universities without academic freedom, without the freedom of scientific research, completely lose their function as institutions of the country, they simply turn into high schools, automatons, which in the gears of time go towards destruction.

To deprive universities of the freedom of scientific research, at a time when you have touched almost all the funds, to centralize it in the hands of a council of ignorant, ignorant, thieves, means to destroy scientific research, means to kill dreams science of thousands and thousands of young researchers, who see scientific research as the noblest way to build their successful careers.

As the most dignified way to climb the ladder of knowledge and science.

I call on all university professors tonight, regardless of their beliefs, to defend academic freedom because academic freedom is your true freedom.

Because without academic freedom, you become a miserable automaton, an artisan worthless to yourself and your country.

I call on students to defend the academic freedom of universities, because the history of the world has proven that academic freedom has made universities great. That the universities have turned into dry logs every time they surrendered this freedom.

It is time for all of you students and teachers to consider the proposal that Edi Rama has made, in which he multiplies you with zero.

In which you all together have as much voice as Lubi Balluku with her two assistants.
