SP passes the gun law with an accelerated procedure, the opposition opposes

The majority passed the draft law on weapons and ammunition in the Parliament with an accelerated procedure.

The head of the plenary session, Ermonela Felaj, stated that this draft law will be reviewed at the July 25 session.

"I would like to inform you that the Council of Ministers has asked us to review with an accelerated procedure the draft law on the regulation of the production, trade, research and development of weapons, ammunition and military technologies. The draft law is announced in the first plenary session" , said Felaj.

The opposition opposed the accelerated passage of this law.

"Regarding the request of the Council of Ministers for an accelerated procedure, let us know about the arms trade so that we can know about it as well. We want to know what need the Council of Ministers presented in the request. Without knowing the motives that the Council of Ministers submitted in the request, we cannot give our opinion on this matter" , declared Bardhi.
