PD MP Tritan Shehu, in his speech at today's parliamentary session, emphasized that the destruction of the most important port in the country is synchronous with Chinese and Russian interests in the region.

"Can parliamentary life be normal when the leader of the opposition is kept in political prison? No we can't have. Albania is very close to Putin's regime..." - said Shehu.

Furthermore, the PD deputy spoke about the destruction of the Port of Durrës. He said that “The 2,500-year-old port, the most important port in the eastern Adriatic...with the drop of a pencil, disappears. Could something like this happen in Livorno, Marjesa, Piraeus...etc? No, it could not disappear in this way."

He further said that the destruction of the Port of Durrës is done in order to shift the port commercial flow towards Montenegro, and the democratic deputy even raised the suspicion that this is being done by the Rama government for Chinese and Russian interests.

"The destruction of the Port of Durrës, an anti-national act! Synchronized with Russian and Chinese interests in the Region. An act worthy of the regimes, which destroy the values, history, interests of the country! Albania thus loses priority in the Adriatic. Traffic passes through Montenegro, where Russian and Chinese interests are strong," he said.
