Meeting with branch heads, Berisha does not give up on civil disobedience: Add working groups, bring proposals
The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, during the meeting with the heads of the DP branches, encouraged the DP working groups to add proposals and to actively engage in mobilizing all members and supporters. Berisha emphasized the importance of creating a broad opposition front to fight the dictatorship, and encourages every democrat to contribute to this cause.
Berisha : To convince each of you, and every democrat, that the rot that the world saw in Syria with Assad is the same rot in Tirana with Edi Rama.
Of course, we have said it and I say it again: dictatorships are overthrown in two ways. They are overthrown with weapons, armed movements. They are overthrown with civil disobedience. We have definitively chosen the second one.
Today, it is an opportunity to reiterate that one of the things, or perhaps the most fundamental features of this party, which when it was founded in the first days had a terrorist party in front of it. Just a week after our founding, Ramiz Alia convened the national conference of the ALP and loudly announced so that people would not remember that it had weakened, that Marxism-Leninism, that is, the terrorist doctrine, is the leading doctrine of the ALP.
It was in the statute, but now it has reconfirmed it once again. And we, the DP, are a party of democratic values, not violence. And we have been restrained, as you know. In '97, they took it by force, we expelled them by vote and now we will expel them again by vote. Civil disobedience and voting.
And, I called this meeting with you so that, now that we have created the working groups, which you have the authority and authorization to add, you can bring proposals.
The Organization Sector has done a job, it may have forgotten people. Here you are. You are the ones who direct them, and you lead them. You have no limitations, you have no obstacles to seek the cooperation of every democracy.
But, when you consider that it should be in the electoral headquarters and has influence, of course you will take them, bring them to the Organization sector, and the Organization sector completes the lists.
There is only one thing. We have emphasized dozens and dozens of times, hundreds of times, that we are the last hope, and that is the truth.
Now I'll tell you something. I'll be very open. If you saw that another political force would emerge, that would take the Albanians with them, would lead them, you would never hear Sali Berisha say: we are the only hope.
But the truth is, we are the only hope. This is the reality, and this forces us very much. It forces us very much to instill this belief in every member, every sympathizer, every supporter.
We are the only hope, and as such we must sow this hope in every vote, in every heart, in every mind of Albanians.
I ask the DP structures, for which I have boundless admiration, to free themselves from any rigidity and come out on top to lead the citizens towards victory.
Today, we are in a situation, I said it once again, diametrically opposed to what we were, and it requires everyone to realize this. Every democrat to realize this, every supporter of ours to realize this, every democrat to realize this.
Today, it is entirely possible to create a broad front against this dictatorship.
What, you say, does it connect the pensioner who has voted every 4 years to these people who in the end pay less than the Germans for their pet dog. Yes, Germany has set 135 euros, it gives it to the German for a pet, for a pet dog. And these people: if we leave you 16 million euros for 800 thousand pensioners. It doesn't connect, if he remains connected, it is our weakness. I will sit down with him, I will tell him, come on, let's make a change, because we will never accept that you stay in this situation that you are in today. And we will overturn this situation, and we will overturn it absolutely. And I guarantee you, we will overturn it from the first year.
The ones we sent to parliament. That package has nothing, nothing to do with politics. That is the package that will be signed by the government in the first 3 months, it will be voted on in parliament.
Yes, sir, without any difficulty. And I'll tell you one thing, and it's with reservations, just so you know, that we can never build at ten times the price that these people steal. It never happens.
Erion Veliaj's brother entered with 100 euros when his brother became chairman, now 32 million euros are circulating with offices in the center of Vienna.
What about Fuga? Because they are the same sect.
Yes, yes, they are both the same. In Singapore, with an agency. These are international thieves, they have no restraint.
So, we will sit down with everyone. I will tell you one thing again. You are leaders, you are leaders of the DP, this requires, gentlemen and ladies, that you motivate each of our members, motivate each of our supporters and have every argument, logic, fact of every kind to motivate them.
Like Assad fell. You saw it, right?
But why did he fall? Because it was a dictatorship.
They really were an armed movement. But if you take weapons, Saddam had 100 times more than them. Yes, yes. Yes, it's rotten. Dictatorships are rotten. They don't resist. They only stand because people think they're strong, but in fact they're rotten. So is this one.
And this one left a mark. He sends messages to Europe about reforming the Opposition, do you understand or not? He took off his mask, like a dictator.
Therefore, these developments should be an inspiration for every member, supporter, and every Albanian.
