Tritan Shehu "steps out of line" and voted for Pelesh, Berisha reacts:

With 84 votes in favor out of 87 participating deputies, Niko Peleshi has been elected as the head of the Albanian parliament.

While the official opposition boycotted the procedure, not using ballots and throwing symbolic banners in the hall in protest against the process, with the exception of Tritan Shehu. 

 The MPs who voted against are Redi Muçi from the Together Movement, Ana Dajko from Albania Becomes and Tritan Shehu from the Democratic Party.

In a statement to the media, Berisha was asked why Tritan Shehu 'broke' the order but responded by saying that "he may not have understood the message on 'WhatsApp'".

"You will give me the opportunity to talk to Mr. Shehu about what the reason was. I want Mr. Shehu to explain to me... that the 'WhatsApp' that was sent to the group was not understood," Berisha said.
