CEC draws attention to municipalities: There are delays in publishing voter

The Central Election Commission has drawn the attention of local governments regarding the publication of voter lists for the May 11 elections.

According to the CEC, delays have been noted in the posting of lists in some municipalities, as well as difficulties encountered in accessing voters with disabilities.

Also, information on the assignment of VCs and notification of voters has not yet been reported.

The voter notification process has not begun in most municipalities due to a lack of funds and a notification model, while the deadline for its completion is March 6, 2025. Therefore, the CEC requests municipalities to complete the reporting of the location of voting centers within the deadlines set in the Electoral Code.

The CEC requests the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the voter notification process to ensure that this process is completed within the legal deadlines.
