The Chargé d'Affaires of the United States of America, in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, took office today.

She also met with President Bajram Begaj, where they discussed the lasting friendship between our nations and commitment to democratic values.

According to the US Embassy release, VanHorn is a career diplomat who joined the Foreign Service in 2007 and most recently completed her assignment as Spokesperson for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, coordinating messages for more than 40 embassies in Europe.
