The writer Mynever Shuteriqi has passed away

The writer Mynever Shuteriqi, the wife of the distinguished academic and writer Dhimitër Shuteriqi, has passed away at the age of 100.

She was born in Gjirokastra on June 21, 1924. Her father, a forest official, had a liberal outlook; he came from a middle-class but respected family in the city.

She spent her childhood years in Delvina, where her father moved. After finishing primary school with high grades, he enrolled in the Women's Institute in Tirana, which was called "Nana Mbretneshë" Women's Institute at the time of Zog.

In 1943, when Myneveri was in high school, the Normal school was closed. He received his degree after liberation like many others.

After the death of Dhimitri, Mynevere published the memoir "A life in love", in which the special episodes of a shared life are given, sketching at the same time an unusual portrait of Shuterić, in love with everything beautiful and expensive and of Shuteriq, a tireless worker of Albanian culture.

She also worked tirelessly to bring his work to light even more by taking care of the publication of the texts he had left ready for publication, with the preparation of those he left in manuscript, with the discovery of new texts and with the systematization of diaries and his unknown writings, some of which have been published in the daily press.
