The State Police has published the plan of measures for the international football match between Albania and the Faroe Islands, which will take place tomorrow at "Air Albania".

The plan of measures foresees the tasks that will be performed by all structures, with the aim of guaranteeing order and public safety before, during and after the international football match between the teams of Albania and the Faroe Islands, which will take place on November 20, 2023. at the "Air Albania" stadium.

Relying on the positive experience for planning, organizing and managing the situation of order and public safety during activities of international proportions, the measures taken by the State Police are as follows:

-Escorting and securing the soccer players of the Faroe Islands soccer team, from Rinas airport, to the hotel, to the stadium and back to Rinas;

-Escorting and securing the football players of the Albanian football team at the stadium;

- Carrying out detailed checks on the stadium grounds and inside the stadium, for unauthorized citizens, prohibited items and items, before the fans enter;

- Organization of services to guarantee public order before, during and after the end of the football match, not only near the stadium, but also the control of the territory in the whole city of Tirana;

- Ensuring emergency service routes;

- Road traffic management in the city of Tirana, before, during and after the football match.

In order to guarantee security before, during and after the development of this international match, it has cooperated with all the institutions that have a role in the smooth running of this activity, among which we mention:

· The Albanian Football Federation;

· Municipal Police;

· Fire Service;

· Private security companies (stewards and security personnel);

· Hospitals, health centers and first aid centers.

In addition, contacts have been established and cooperation is underway with the security service personnel of the Faroe Islands football team, in order to increase security standards before, during and after the development of this international match.

For the smooth running of this activity, as well as to facilitate the circulation of vehicles in the city of Tirana, during November 20, 2023, from 15:00, until the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the municipality of Tirana, will apply vehicle traffic restrictions on some road axes near the stadium.

Roads that will be blocked:

- "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, 20 m above the Dajti bridge;
- "Pope John Paul II" street;
- "Dervish Hima" street, near the US embassy;
- "Asim Zeneli" street, near the US embassy";
- "Themistokli Gërmenji" street;
- "Ismail Qemali" street, at the intersection of the high school;
- "Mustafa Matohiti" street, near "Kosova" school;
- "Jul Variboba" street, near the post office;
- "Lekë Dukagjini" street, near the former Guard of the Republic;
- "Avdyl Frashëri" street, near Libri Universitar intersection.

In implementation of the plan of measures, State Police employees will exercise detailed control over the fans, before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the entry into the stadium of banners with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, metal coins , umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers, tools/products for cosmetic use and other strong items, dangerous to the life and health of the participants.

On this occasion, we inform Albanian and foreign citizens that, based on the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania, violent actions in sports activities, such as entering the field of play during the sports activity by unauthorized persons, constitutes a criminal offence. and is punished with a fine from 50,000 to 100,000 ALL. When due to this offense, the normal development of the sports activity has been hindered, it is punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to three months.

Throwing hard objects on the field of play or on people, holding or using pyrotechnic materials, fireworks, flares, during the development of a sports activity, are punished with imprisonment from six months to three years.

Albanian criminal legislation considers hitting or any other act of violence against an athlete, coach, referee, or sports mediator as a criminal offense, due to sports activity, and punishes them with imprisonment from one to three years. This offense, when committed in sports facilities, more than once, or by leaders or members of sports clubs, is punishable by imprisonment from one to five years.

The entrance gates to the stadium, on the day of the match, will open at 17:00.

We ask for the understanding of the fans to show up at the entrance of the stadium, starting from this hour, as due to the influx of fans, just before the start of the match, they may lose the opportunity to enter the stadium.

Also, we appeal to fans and citizens to be vigilant in order not to fall prey to fraud with ticket prices, which are officially made public, as well as not to publish purchased tickets on social networks, as they can be duplicated in violation of the law. Each ticket is equipped with a barcode, it is personal and must be kept only by the citizen who owns it, who, in turn, will pass alone, to check the barcode from the device that automatically records every attempt to enter with a ticket forged or duplicated.

We inform you that the duplication/multiplication of the ticket is considered forgery and fraud, which are punishable by the Criminal Code of Albania.

If you find yourself in such illegal situations, report it immediately to the number 112.

For the smooth running of this sports activity, the State Police has engaged hundreds of police officers, who will guarantee order and public safety, as well as provide help and information, in case of need, so that this activity can be completed without incident. , in the interest of the country's image.
