Police discover synthetic drug lab, 13 Albanians arrested in Belgium

Belgian police have dismantled a criminal group made up of Albanians. 

Liège police carried out 18 checks, cracking down on an Albanian criminal network involved in drug trafficking and located in the metropolitan area.

The investigation, launched more than a year ago, revealed that the network was also active in Luxembourg, Brussels and the Netherlands. As a result of these checks, 13 people were arrested. After hearings, arrest warrants were issued for seven individuals and four others were charged.

Two were placed in a closed center. The operation notably made it possible to dismantle a cannabis plantation and discover a warehouse that had served as a synthetic drug laboratory.

Drugs, chemicals, a weapon, 30 thousand euros in cash, three vehicles and luxury products were also seized.
