The road takes stock: Over 9,000 fines in one week in Tirana

The Traffic Police of Tirana announces that during the past week it has arrested and prosecuted 11 people for various violations in the field of road traffic.

Administrative measures consist of black windows, speeding, wrong passing, using a mobile phone, or not wearing a seat belt.

Also, 8 vehicles were blocked for unpaid obligations or lack of documentation.

- 9306 administrative measures have been implemented, some of them:

– Black glasses: 154 measures

– Speed ​​over the permitted rates: 513 measures

– Wrong passings: 284 measures

– Using a mobile phone while driving: 389 measures

– Failure to wear a seat belt: 411 measures

– Failure to wear a protective helmet: 168 measures

– Failure to give priority to pedestrians: 570 measures

- Failure to respect the "Stop" sign: 31 measures

- Behavior of pedestrians on the street: 44 measures

– Wrong posture: 5,854 measures

License suspensions and conversions: 37 measures

– Under the influence of alcohol: 8 cases

– Speed ​​limits: 21 cases

– Other traffic violations: 6 cases

– Blocked vehicles: 8 vehicles, for outstanding obligations, lack of documentation and for verifications by the Traffic Section at DVP Tirana.
