Proclamation of Independence, Bank of Albania publishes series of numismatic

After Ismail Qemali raised the flag in Vlora on November 28, 1912, he paved the way for the construction of an independent state and national institutions, including monetary and banking structures.

In commemoration of this historic day for the nation, in 2012, the Bank of Albania issued a series of commemorative coins with the theme "100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence".

The coins contain symbols such as: the portrait of Ismail Qemali, the Declaration of the Declaration of Independence, the double-headed eagle of the flag raised on November 28, 1912 and two joined hands, the symbol of the Albanian Covenant of 1878.

BSH has announced that the coins are available for sale in the Museum Shop of the Bank of Albania.
