Foreign media have devoted extended articles to the news of the death of the writer Ismail Kadare. 

Among the best writers of contemporary world literature, and the most translated author abroad, winner of several international literary awards and nominated several times for the Nobel Prize, Kadare passed away today at the age of 88. 

Sakaq, Kadare studied literature for two years at the Gorky Institute in Moscow, but was forced to abandon his studies in Russia due to complicated diplomatic relations between Albania and the Soviet Union.
