The murderer of Liridona Ademaj is raped in the cell

Granit Plava, the author who executed Liridona Ademaj on November 29, was raped by the prisoners in the cell where he is being held.

Kosovo media have reported that there was an immediate reaction to the violence against Plava by the director of the Correctional Service in Kosovo, Ismail Dibrani, who admitted that some prisoners tried to hit Granit Plava, but the staff reacted immediately, avoiding the escalation of the the situation.

Dibrani adds that the investigations have also started as it is suspected that Granit Plava tried to commit suicide in the prison premises.

"There was neither an attempt at self-harm nor an attempt at suicide. The case was prevented from the moment he tried to damage the blanket," Dibrani said.

The main suspects for the organization and murder of Liridona Ademaj, Naim Murseli, Granit Plava, Kushtrim Kokalla, are not staying in the same prison. On Saturday evening, the fourth suspect who is said to have provided the crime weapon was also arrested.
