Majlinda Kelmendi ends her judo career, followed by a ceremony

The judoka from Kosovo, Majlinda Kelmendi, ends today her career in all sports activities.

A ceremony for the 'retirement' of Kelmendi will be organized by the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani at the stadium "Ali Hadri" in Pristina, at 18:00.

Majlinda Kelmendi managed to build a successful career on the world judo scene, representing Albanians in a dignified manner.

In her career Kelmendi has managed to collect 46 very important trophies in judo, as she has won 32 times the gold medal, 6 times the silver medal and 8 times the bronze.

Kelmendi will be remembered as one of the best Albanian athletes, woman or man and as the first athlete to secure an Olympic medal for Kosovo, after writing history in Rio 2016 when she won the gold medal in judo in the 52 kg category.
