Journalist Vudi Xhymshiti's apartment in Kosovo attacked: An act that

The uninhabited house in Kosovo of journalist Vudi Xhymshiti has been attacked by people who, according to him, are connected to criminal groups that he himself has denounced in articles.

As can be seen from the footage, the apartment's windows have been broken and the old car that the journalist says belongs to his late father has been damaged.

Xhymshiti states that the intention was not theft, but destruction and humiliation.

The journalist calls on Kosovo authorities and internationals to condemn this attack on press freedom and those who speak out against the criminal regime.

Journalist's statement:

After many years of journalistic work exposing Serbia's Kremlin-linked destabilizing operations in Kosovo, and its covert networks of influence that have operated for more than two decades after the era of warlords who plundered and weakened the country, I have once again become the target of threats and intimidation.

After months of in-depth research this year into Serbian espionage and disinformation networks, which aimed to produce compromising material and blackmail me, but failed once their activities were revealed through my reporting, my family's house in Kosovo, uninhabited and no longer my residence since 2012, has been vandalized by unknown perpetrators.

Property belonging to my family was deliberately targeted by individuals connected to the criminal structures and intelligence networks that I have researched and exposed through The Gunpowder Chronicles. The family memorial vehicle, a symbol of our late father, was severely damaged. Nothing was stolen, the intent was destruction, intimidation and humiliation.

This act recalls the brutality of the genocidal forces of the Milosevic regime, who burned the same house in 1999. Today, their ideological and political successors seem to have found it “justifiable” to vandalize the home of a journalist who continues to challenge their lies and interests.

This attack comes after months of open threats online, including public calls for my execution, from individuals and networks linked to the circles of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Halit Sahitaj, Berat Buzhala, and Milaim Zeka, who have historically opposed independent and critical journalism.

I call on the police and relevant authorities of the Republic of Kosovo to investigate this act swiftly and transparently and bring the perpetrators to justice.

I also call on the journalistic community in Kosovo and internationally to stand united in condemning this attack on press freedom and the safety of those who speak the truth in the face of criminal power.

Everyone is safe, but the message from these criminal networks is clear:

They aim to intimidate, silence, and eliminate independent journalism that exposes corruption, espionage, and disinformation.

Let me be equally clear:

I will not remain silent.

This act of vandalism represents another attempt by the remnants of criminal structures from the era of the 'commanders,' who for decades have spread fear, blackmail, and murder of politicians, political activists, and journalists, to impede accountability and reestablish Serbia's hostile influence in Kosovo.

But intimidation will fail.

No threats, no vandalism, and no campaign of lies will stop me or The FRONTLINE Media from our mission.

The truth will continue to be told, fully, fearlessly, and to the core of every lie.
