Forcefully took the 'secret' document, the Secretariat of the Assembly

The Secretariat for Procedures, Voting and Ethics in the Parliament of Albania meets today at 09:30 to review the request of 13 Socialist Party deputies to take disciplinary measures against Mundësia party deputy Agron Shehaj.

The focus of the meeting will be the action of Shehaj, who yesterday, after the last parliamentary session, ran away from the Assembly premises with the classified document related to the $302 million loan agreement with the United States of America for military equipment.

The Socialist MPs in their request have requested that the matter be referred to the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime.

The request of the 13 SP deputies comes after the debate created in the Assembly regarding the way the deputy left with the document, an event that was also accompanied by political reactions from the majority and the opposition.

The Secretariat is expected to assess the procedures that should be followed against Shehaj and the measures that can be taken in relation to the case.
