The plenary session was closed after tensions arose during the review of the draft cooperation agreement with the United States of America for a $302 million loan in the field of defense.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, decided that the agreement would be reviewed through an expedited procedure, announcing the continuation of the session at 3:00 PM, after its discussion in the parliamentary committees.
The decision caused opposition from Democratic Party deputies, who blocked the Assembly's rostrum, preventing the normal continuation of the proceedings.
The tense situation led to the closing of the session by Niko Peleshi.
