"Kosovo is part of Serbia," Vučić threatens: The army will defend it

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has reiterated Belgrade's claims to Kosovo, calling it "part of Serbia" and declaring that Serbia will continue to defend its territorial integrity.

During the graduation ceremony of new members of the Serbian Armed Forces, Vučić said that the country will maintain military neutrality, while linking the defense of Kosovo to the Serbian Constitution.

" Kosovo is part of our homeland, part of our Serbia," Vučić declared, adding that, according to him, it must be defended " without touching anyone, without attacking anyone and without threatening anyone."

In his speech, the Serbian president also attacked the military cooperation between Albania, Kosovo and Croatia, claiming that the creation of this alliance is aimed at Serbia. According to him, Belgrade has understood the developments in the region and is taking measures to strengthen its defense capabilities.

" They are forming alliances against us in the region," Vučić said, arguing that the Serbian army should be the guarantor of the security of citizens.

The Serbian president also focused on the modernization of the army, claiming that Serbia has been equipped with new weapons and that its military capacities have been significantly strengthened.
