Lightning strikes herd of cattle in Pogradec, 10 sheep and goats die

An unusual event was recorded on Friday afternoon in the village of Derdush in the Dardhas administrative unit, in the Municipality of Pogradec, where a herd of cattle was struck by lightning.

As a result of the atmospheric discharge, about 10 heads of small livestock have died, while 17 others have been damaged. The herd, with about 190 sheep and goats, was owned by Tatjana Biçoku and was moving from the Pirg area towards the mountain pastures.

Following the incident, veterinary services arrived in the area to check the condition of the surviving livestock and assess the damage.
