Parliament 'Protection', Bardhi: Police are restricting the freedom of

The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the strict measures taken by the State Police, expanding the security perimeter and completely blocking the road in front of the parliament where the protest is being held.

In a reaction on social media, Bardhi describes this as an unacceptable act, while adding that no one's life is in danger from the citizens who have come out to protest.

According to him, the State Police is hindering the free movement and reporting of media workers, which, according to him, constitutes a restriction of freedom.

"The encirclement of the Parliament in an extended perimeter and the unprecedented presence of a large number of State Police officers in the Parliament building is an ugly and unacceptable act. No one's life is in danger from protesting citizens."

The State Police has gone so far as to impede the free movement and undisturbed reporting of media workers, which constitutes an unacceptable restriction on media freedom.

"Such unacceptable behavior must be immediately abandoned and citizens must be allowed to protest peacefully and wherever they wish. Restricting freedom of assembly cannot be an acceptable act in an EU candidate country," said Bardhi.
