Former Socialist Party MP, Ledi Shamku Shkreli, has denounced the police escorting of two activists during the protest held today in front of Parliament.

Through a post on social media, Shkreli announced that American linguistic anthropologist Carrie Ann Morgan and artist Elsa Paja were accompanied to Police Station No. 3.

In her reaction, the former MP describes them as figures committed to protecting nature and opposing interventions in the Vjosa-Narta area.

'Carrie Ann Morgan, linguistic anthropologist, my colleague, researcher and free spirit, was arrested today during the protest.

Elsa Paja, artist, illustrator, my friend, a soul as beautiful as the Vjosa-Narta that she protects, was arrested today.

I think that as of today, the most common slogan of this protest is: 'And you, which side of the fence are you on?'

Her reaction comes after tensions were recorded during the protest in front of Parliament, where there were clashes between citizens and police forces, as well as escorts of some protesters.
