Berisha condemns Balla's characterization of protesters as

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has strongly condemned the authorities' reaction during the protest held outside the Parliament, describing the use of tear gas, bear spray, water cannons and other means against protesters as a manifestation of a "dictatorial regime".

In a statement to the media, Berisha also criticized the statements of the head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, opposing the characterization of the protesters as "terrorists." According to him, the protesters have exercised their right to protest peacefully.

Berisha reiterated the request for the end of the Assembly's mandate, claiming that the current deputies do not represent the will of the citizens, but were elected through vote manipulation and the influence of criminal groups.

The statements were made outside the Parliament premises after the opposition protest.

PART OF THE PRONUNCIATION

I condemn the brutal violence, the use of incendiary substances, poisonous gases, bear spray, water cannons against peaceful protesters, acts that demonstrate the true dictatorial face of the regime.
But I condemn with the greatest force the characterization of peaceful protesters as terrorists in an unprecedented act by the gangster leader of the parliamentary group of the crime party, Taulant Bego Yaris and with many adjectives.
These are the most irresponsible attitudes towards citizens who protest peacefully.
I once again demand the termination of this parliament because these deputies absolutely do not represent Albanian citizens, they represent votes looted with gangs, with criminal money. Votes looted with patronage. Votes looted in many other ways.
