7 theft cases solved in Durrës, 29-year-old arrested

Durrës Police have solved seven cases of thefts and attempted thefts recorded during July 2026, while arresting the suspected perpetrator.

As part of the investigations conducted by the Crime Investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Commissariat, citizen HB, 29 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested.

According to the police, the 29-year-old is suspected of attempting to rob two apartments in neighborhood no. 6 of the city on July 3. On July 14, he is suspected of stealing various materials in neighborhood no. 17, while a day later he broke the window of a woman's vehicle in the "Youth Sector" area, taking gold jewelry and personal items.

Investigations have also documented that on July 18, he is suspected of stealing a sum of money and various products from a shop in the village of Rrashbull. On July 20, he is suspected of taking tools and work materials from a vehicle in neighborhood no. 17, while on July 21, he stole the wallet of a foreign national on a bus. The latest case attributed to him is the theft of a bicycle in neighborhood no. 1 of Durrës, on July 22.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës for further action.
