Footage has been released of the moment 24-year-old Rozalinda Plaku is released by her ex-fiancé, Refit Buzi, after being held hostage for several hours.

The video shows the young woman exiting the vehicle where she was being held against her will. Immediately after exiting, a police officer approaches her, takes her by the arm, and quickly takes her away from the area where the operation was taking place.

The serious incident occurred the day before in the village of Vidhisht, Roskovec. According to police data, 35-year-old Refit Buzi shot his former father-in-law, Kosta Plaka, 58, with a shotgun, killing him.

He also seriously injured his ex-mother-in-law, Belere Plaka, 55. The woman was transported to the hospital, but died a few hours later as a result of her injuries.

After attacking his ex-father-in-law and ex-mother-in-law, Buzi forcibly took his ex-fiancée, 24-year-old Rozalinda Plaku, and fled the scene in a vehicle.

After several hours of negotiations with the Police and the RENEA special forces, the 35-year-old decided to release the young woman. Rozalinda was taken out of the vehicle unharmed and immediately taken under protection by the officers.

The operation then continued to capture Buzi, who was surrounded by police forces in the village of Kurjan, Roskovec. Despite repeated calls to surrender, the 35-year-old refused to negotiate and, according to the police, shot himself, losing his life.

As for the motives for the crime, the investigation continues on several tracks. One of them is related to the couple's separation and the perpetrator's refusal to accept the end of the relationship, while another is related to a possible financial conflict.

Buzi's family claimed that he had sent his ex-fiancée sums of money while he was working in England and that after the separation, he demanded their return.

Investigations by the authorities are continuing to fully clarify the motive and circumstances of the incident.
