Greek customs officers' protest blocks Kapshtica, traffic suspended for 4 hours

Greek customs officers' protest blocks Kapshtica, traffic suspended for 4

The movement of vehicles and passengers at the Kapshtica border crossing point has been temporarily suspended today due to a protest by Greek customs officers.

From 05:00 to 09:00, the Greek side has stopped working, preventing the passage of vehicles and citizens towards Greece. As a result, travelers who have completed procedures on the Albanian side have been forced to wait at the border until the point is reopened by the Greek side.

The protest was led by the Greek customs workers' union, which is demanding increased staffing, improved working conditions and higher pay. They are also demanding the implementation of commitments made by the Greek government regarding their status and treatment in the public administration.
