Joshua after the fight with Kristian Prengë: I just thought about keeping

Anthony Joshua has reacted after his knockout victory over Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga, admitting that the duel began in the most unexpected way for him.

The former world champion struggled in the opening seconds of the fight, as Prenga managed to knock him down twice. However, the Briton remained calm and regained control of the challenge, closing it out in the second round with a series of decisive blows.

In an interview with DAZN, Joshua said that the Albanian's strikes surprised him, but he chose not to rush.

"Prenga was strong and came to knock me out. When he knocked me down after 20-30 seconds, I just thought about staying calm. It was a 12-round fight and I had to wait for my moment," Joshua said.

The Briton revealed that his goal had always been a knockout victory, but not in the manner and at the pace that the fight began.

"I had planned to knock him out, but at the right moment. For a moment I thought that this was not part of the script, so I had to be patient. My moment came in the second round ," he said.

Despite two early knockdowns, Joshua stressed that he did not lose faith in victory and that experience helped him manage the situation until the moment he took control of the duel.
