High temperatures are favoring the outbreak of viruses, typical of the season.

Gastroenteritis, or as it is otherwise known, diarrhea and vomiting accompanied by high fever, are the prevailing concerns during this period.

The infectious disease emergency room, and especially the pediatric emergency room, are busier than usual. Pediatricians report an increase in cases, mainly in the 1 to 5 year old age group.

The number of presentations in the pediatric emergency room does not exceed 200 patients per day.

The workload is also noticeable in neighborhood polyclinics, but also in summer health centers, where part of the population has moved due to the holidays.
