5 constitutional violations in today's session

Democratic MP Ina Zhupa highlights the 5 constitutional violations of the majority in today's session by voting on the agreement with the US with her 74 votes.

Meanwhile, the opposition refused to participate in this unconstitutional session.

"PRO the agreement with the US!
AGAINST the unconstitutional way in which Edi Rama approved it within a day in Parliament!

A state that has no respect for its own Constitution cannot have respect for our allies. A country that does not respect constitutional democracy is not worthy of being an ally in NATO!"  writes Zhupa.

The Democratic MP highlights the five constitutional violations of the Socialist majority in today's session.

This agreement comes at a time when Albania is trying to raise its profile in the field of defense and security and aims to organize the next NATO summit in Tirana.

The direct loan of $302 million with the United States of America is provided within the framework of the US Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program and has been concluded between the Ministry of Finance and the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

The Socialists proposed that the agreement be passed through an accelerated procedure today in the Assembly, which was opposed by the opposition as unconstitutional. The opposition proposed that the agreement be voted on Friday after MPs had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with its content.
