A doctor's last message before passing away, touching post goes viral on

A scientist, professor and psychologist named Mark Stokes, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, has posted a tweet that has caught everyone's attention.

On Sunday morning, the professor who lives and works in Oxford in the United Kingdom and describes himself as a "scientist, father, and not a robot" posted a status on Twitter that read:

" Hey guys. I'm afraid it's time for me to goodbye. Not just leaving twitter but the whole show. I've been fighting cancer for the past 2 years and now I only have a few days left. Thank you wonderful people, I'm leaving this crazy world with much love in my heart."

There was something so candid, humble and loving about his message that Twitter users stopped and took time to reflect and send him heartfelt messages. Over 370,000 people liked his tweet in less than 24 hours. Also, thousands of others from around the world, from Chile to China, Sweden to South Africa, have sent him messages of strength.
