The bad weather also includes Montenegro, some rivers burst their banks
Several houses and roads were flooded in northern Montenegro on Friday after two rivers burst their banks due to heavy rain.
The mayor of the municipality of Shavnik, Jugoslav Jakiq, said that two rivers burst their banks in the part of the Komarnica Nature Park, in the north of the country.
He shared footage on social media showing swollen rivers and flooded houses around. As a result of the floods, the circulation in some shops of this municipality was interrupted. Heavy rains have increased the level of rivers in the central part of the country.
The level of the Moraca River in Podgorica has increased by 7.5 meters, while that of the Zeta River in Danilovgrad by 5.5 meters, the Hydrometeorological Institute of Montenegro told Radio Free Europe.
Due to the heavy rains, traffic has been interrupted on two bridges and on a road in Danilovgrad, about 20 kilometers from Podgorica.
On the banks of Moraca and Ribnica in Podgorica, the beach bars along these two rivers have been flooded. Heavy rain caused traffic problems, while strong winds uprooted trees.
