Germany bans the entry of the former Greek minister

The German Interior Ministry has issued a restraining order against DiEM25 co-founder and former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis after police shut down the Palestine Congress to be held in Berlin from April 12 to 14.

This means not only a ban on entry into Germany, but also a ban on any form of online participation and activity in the country's political events, with the German government going beyond the limits of authoritarianism.

The ban comes after Varoufakis was scheduled to give a speech at the Palestine Congress in Berlin on Friday, calling for universal human rights in both Israel and Palestine, only for German police to enter the venue to break up the event.

Because of this, Varoufakis published his full speech at X, for which the German government decided to crack down on the founder of MERA25 in a truly shocking way.
