Rama defends Bushka: He heard the accusation of a 400-page novel on television

The Socialist Party parliamentary group gathered today to hear the explanations of Socialist MP Klotilda Bushka, who has been taken under investigation by SPAK for the "Veliaj" case.

While speaking about Veliaj's arrest and Bushka's investigation, Rama said that the Socialists are not "fence-shy" who do not react to such episodes.

Rama also took care to defend Bushka, before the latter spoke and gave her explanations for her involvement in the "Veliaj" dossier.

"Here we must take responsibility, that today in the public debate there are only two sides, one that applauds and cheers every time the "guillotine" appears, according to that side everyone is for prison, for the rope and to be killed, and the other is the side that attacks the new justice bodies in a gang-like manner and that targets with a house book the prosecutors and judges who do their job, starting from the head of SPAK, who has our support. But a constructive position is missing, a constructive side is missing that should also be a guarantor of the independence of the judiciary, but should also be a guarantor of freedoms, rights, democratic standards.

For me, it is inconceivable that the chairwoman of the Albanian Law Commission, without going into the merits of the case, without discussing at all whether or not the accusations she includes in that almost 400-page novel are true, finds out about it on television, listening to special journalists who have investigative secrets, who have food that comes to them from the train station to be thrown into the big food market and to be ground up in the streets of hooliganism.

This is unacceptable. Neither yesterday, nor today, nor tomorrow, as long as I am at the head of this political force, this political force will not undertake to grant innocence to anyone who is investigated by justice. But unlike yesterday, this political force will not remain silent in the face of flagrant violations and brutality against anyone exercising the consolidated power of independence, only an idiot or a clown can say that after this we control justice. We have officially received the certificate that our hands are far away. N

We are not here to simply report news and not say anything when we come across episodes like this, either intentionally or unintentionally. At the very least, the chairwoman of the Laws Committee should have been called and asked. In which republic are we here? There are many things that are not right that are a reason for reflection because everything has been built with effort and thanks to the dedication and the will and work of prosecutors and judges, it cannot collapse, but must be protected and strengthened by highlighting all the holes and all the concessions of the new wall of justice", declared Rama.
