Prime Minister Edi Rama said from the joint conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Albania will continue to support Ukraine.

Rama stated that together with NATO, Albania has condemned the Russian aggression, and sees with concern the support to Ukraine which is seen to be stalled due to bureaucratic delays.

"We support Ukraine steadfastly. We will support him for as long as necessary and until a lasting peace occurs. Albania is a proud, albeit small, member of NATO. Together with our NATO allies and partners, we have condemned the aggression and have done everything we can and will do everything we can to help Ukraine by all means. At the same time, we are aware of our capacities. We are aware that what Ukraine needs is the support of all, the help and support of the biggest and richest in our democratic community.

We see with concern that this support sometimes stagnates, that Ukraine turns into a matter of internal politics of a country. Or that bureaucratic delays occur. If democracies have their own procedures, democracies are more difficult and complex to work and bring results, on the other hand we have an aggressor who does not stop for a single second to hit to have more territory, to take innocent lives" . Rama said.
