6 months under 'house arrest' without evidence, Berisha seeks freedom

The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, went to Strasbourg after six months of house arrest and a long series of demands in Albania, all of which were rejected.

Through a lawsuit request, his lawyers ask the European Court of Human Rights to intervene for the removal of the measure that they consider unfounded in the law, Top Channel reports.

In addition, the former prime minister recounts to the Strasbourg court all the efforts he made in his country with continuous requests for the undoing of austerity measures, including the request to accompany him to the parliament. But according to the defense of the former prime minister, the courts violated his rights, not only by not listening to him, but also by disclosing the decisions slowly.

Saying that the courts clarified the decisions late, Berisha also mentions the high court that clarified a March decision two months late.
