The Affair of the Port of Durrës/ Berisha: The most severe punishment for taxpayers, after Enver Hoxha's bunkers

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a conference with journalists at the bly headquarters today.

Berisha spoke about the Port of Durrës, which he described as the most severe punishment for Albanian taxpayers after the construction of bunkers by Enver Hoxha.

The chief democrat said that the port of Durrës would be built in Porto Romano in violation of any law. Berisha greeted the companies that did not participate in what he calls "Edi Rama's monstrous affair".

"The Affair of the Port of Durrës constitutes the most serious punishment for Albanian taxpayers after the construction of bunkers by Enver Hoxha.

You are all witnesses that when Edi Rama informed the public that he would build Dubai City in the Port of Durrës, he repeatedly stated that for the other port, Albanian taxpayers will not spend a penny.

So, according to him, the other port would be built by the private sector.

The truth is that with Dubai Site of Durrës, Albanians are looted more than ever except for bunkers in their history.

The land and water territory of the port with over 1,400,000 square meters of land was donated to Alabar and Edi Rama, while its value is at least 3.8 billion euros.

That territory was donated for the construction of 12,500 apartments and 6 ultra-luxurious 6-star hotels, and the construction of one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean. So, the de facto construction of a paradise that, apart from the families of the emirs of the United Emirates or any other, no one could have.

The millennium port of Durrës, for Edi Rama, was to be built in Porto Romano and in violation of any law, he changed the procurement law with a well-known Dutch company, again in violation of the laws, ordered the project of 12 million euros.

He informed the public, opened the tender and said that we have 5 large world companies listed for the construction of the port in Porto Romano.

But on the day of the closing of the tender, no company showed up to participate in this monstrous affair of Edi Rama and I salute them" , declared Berisha.
