Bardh Spahia with daily wage workers to Montenegro: On May 11th, we punish the

Opposition MP candidate Bardh Spahia has reacted to images showing Albanian citizens making their way to Montenegro every morning to secure a job that guarantees them a living wage. In a post on social media, Spahia emphasizes that this is not the reality that Albanian citizens deserve.

“These are not scenes of people fleeing war zones, but of our fellow citizens, who begin the day before dawn,” he writes. “They are fellow citizens of all ages who perform this ritual amidst great effort, sacrificing themselves and their families, after the motherland has killed their hope, plunged them into poverty, unemployment and misery.”

Spahia accused the government of lying about 300,000 jobs, while reality has proven otherwise. He called on citizens to participate in the May 11 elections to punish this government, which, according to him, has become "side with evil."

"This is not the reality we deserve, so on May 11th we must all unite through the power of the vote to overthrow this facade government," Spahia concludes.
