DP leader Sali Berisha presented a plan to transform agriculture in Albania. Berisha said that every farmer will have a pension and every elderly person in the village will be treated with a living wage. The budget for agriculture and livestock will be tripled and the level of countries in the region will be reached. He called for subsidies for every crop, livestock and product, and the abolition of punitive taxes on agricultural products.

Berisha : As you have heard, there is talk from morning until night about tourism, but I tell every Albanian with full responsibility that this type of tourism is a heavy fine for every Albanian taxpayer, and its brilliance is dazzling, since in the claimed tourism of 10 million tourists, only 6 million nights are registered.

From 6 million nights and from these 10 million tourists, the total sales were around 140 million euros, the benefits to the state budget and VAT were a total of 8 million euros. Meanwhile, every citizen who benefited from 4 euros per year from tourism, spends 230 euros from his taxes, because Edi Rama with his gang of strategic traffickers spends 430 million euros every year to fix the infrastructure of their resorts and 10 years without taxes.

430 million euros are the annual budget expenditures for the infrastructure of tourist resorts. This country is mired in crime and informality.

Montenegro, with 2.6 million tourists, records 16.8 million overnight stays. But who is the victim here? The victim is agriculture and industrial production.

We are taking a transformative approach to our agriculture.
And when I say transformative, I mean the farmer first.

The farmer will be granted a pension, every elderly person in the village will be treated with a living wage, there will no longer be a pensioner or Albanian of retirement age who will receive less than 200 euros.
The budget for agriculture and livestock will triple and will reach the average budget of the countries in the region in the first two years.

Now we are 8 times below Macedonia, imagine where we are. With Serbia, maybe even more.

Every plant, every head of livestock and every product will be subsidized. Punitive taxes on agricultural products in the processing sector will be removed, they will be equalized. Today there is a tax only on sales in an absurd way. The Open Balkans will be thrown in the trash. The Open Balkans destroyed one of the main factors, fair competition in the Balkans.

Serbia not only has a very strong subsidy legacy, they have had an organized agricultural sector with very large investments, but Serbia as part of the Russian, former Soviet market, is a big problem for the region, therefore Albania stops any kind of Open Balkan practice which, de facto, was the economic, and not only economic, hegemony of Serbia in the region.

There is no care for the land, as such, agricultural land absolutely cannot be touched and violated, except under very rigorous conditions of the law.
We are the country with the least amount of land in Europe per capita.

Albania is a country full of water. We will do everything to multiply the irrigated areas, but at the same time for protection, drainage, irrigation and drainage, irrigation and protection from high waters, will be our fundamental direction.

We have, as is known, very little plain land, but we have fertile land everywhere. There is no land without fruit. It exists only in the minds of those who destroyed Albanian agriculture. Everywhere, this land is fertile, it is blessed.

We will do everything to multiply fruit trees throughout the country from south to north. Of course, I also mean vineyards here, but olive and walnut trees will be dominant, and the traditional fruit trees of the region.

Our stance on these two types, olives and walnuts, is right. These have a market, they are a guaranteed market in their entirety, and although the potential of olives can reach up to 50 million roots, walnuts can reach twice that, and we are not backing down from these projects. We will do everything to transform Albania with these projects.
