The Law 'On the Academy of Sciences' in the Court of Justice tomorrow, Zhupa: It does not respect academics

The Law 'On the Academy of Sciences' in the Court of Justice tomorrow,

Tomorrow, the Constitutional Court is expected to consider in a plenary session the lawsuit of the Democratic Party, which requests that the law "On the Academy of Sciences" be repealed, as incompatible with the Constitution.

DP MP Ina Zhupa, the main initiator of the lawsuit, says that it was approved in complete violation of parliamentary procedures, bypassing legislative power and the country's Constitution.

According to Zhupa, the law "On the Academy of Sciences" also does not respect academics because it does not guarantee their equality before the law.

"Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, at 10:00, the first public plenary session will be held at the Constitutional Court, on the lawsuit for the unconstitutionality of the law "On the Academy of Sciences".

A law passed in complete violation of parliamentary procedures, trampling on the legislative power and violating the country's constitution, which effectively considers as NULL those decisions of the assembly that were taken without following the procedure. Also, a law does not respect academics because it does not guarantee their equality before the law. Either all academics over 75 years of age can be elected or none. Or all academics over 75 years of age become emeritus or none.

"I invite the media to follow the session, also at 12:00 I will have a statement for journalists in front of the Constitutional Court ," she writes on Facebook.
