The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Fatbardh Kadilli has presented their proposals for statutory changes, where one of them is the dismantling of the monopoly of the mayor.

Regarding this point, he says that it is a vital process, describing it as a change in the interest of the party, but also of society as a whole.

"The dismantling of the President's monopoly on the party and membership is a process not simply necessary, but vital for the democratization of the party. "society remains very few," he said in a statement to the media.

Kadilli adds that the DP remains far from an internal democracy. The one-member-one-vote principle, he adds, gives everyone the right to run, making the DP a Western and truly democratic force.

"Therefore, the administrative direction of the party is divided. It can no longer be done by the Chairman, but by another body. The Council of Wise Men is a mechanism that guarantees the party, guarantees the continuity of the party beyond a project of a rotating chairman.

This council should be responsible for the organization and registration of structures, for the registration of membership, for statutory aspects, for the organization of elections for party leaders and for the candidates we field in the electoral, central and local competitions. "This council must also guarantee the balanced and proportionate use of party finances, between the center and the branches," he added.

Kadilli says that only with this separation of the political role from the administrative one, the principle of primary elections would be real. He also points out that these changes strengthen the vote of the member and dismantle the seal of the chairman.
