Democratic MP Elda Hoti has stated that the Ministry of Education decided to close 23 schools in Kurbin due to the cold, as they lack a heating system.

Hoti said from the blue headquarters that the ministry must be held responsible and the Municipality of Kurbin must account for why the heating system in schools is missing.

DECLARATION:

Yesterday, the Ministry of Education and Sports, due to the situation aggravated by bad weather, decided to temporarily suspend the teaching process in the country.

Of the 77 schools across the country that are closed because they have no heating or are unable to go to school due to snow, 23 closed schools are in Kurbin because they have no heating. Approximately 1/3 of all schools in the country that do not provide learning opportunities are located in Kurbin.

Is anyone responsible?

Will the temperatures be low for a week, will students be without classes for a week?

Does the Municipality of Kurbin lack a heating system?

The Kurbin Municipality is immersed in luxury and indifference, forgetting the citizens who suffer every day from the lack of basic conditions. While they stay in their comfortable offices, thousands of families are left in the dark and schools without heating. Children cannot attend classes in such conditions, while the institutions remain silent and do not take any measures.

The government's reduction in the price of energy by 1 lek is an open mockery of citizens, when thousands of families in the Lezha region have been in total darkness for days.

Minister Balluku boasts of imaginary achievements while citizens face power shortages in the middle of winter, without any explanation or concrete solution. This is a clear indication of the government's disconnection from reality and the real needs of the people, leaving the sick, children and the elderly in total darkness.

Empty promises and propaganda do not turn on the lights, do not heat the homes, and do not reduce the suffering of citizens.

It is time for responsibility and immediate action, not for show and ridicule!
