PD: 342 million euros spent only on fuel by the Rama government

The spokeswoman for Anti-Corruption in the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, made a statement to the media today where she said that the Rama government spent 342 million euros just for fuel purchases.

Vangjeli said that the total fuel expenses of the Rama government 2014-2024 reach the total value of 34,344,713,157 ALL or 342 million euros.

In the wake of the denunciations, today we will inform the public about 342 million euros spent by Edi Rama and his government related only to the purchase of fuel. Referring to the official website for payments made by the General Directorate of the Treasury, the expenses for fuel purchases divided according to the years 2014 to August 27, 2024 are:

For the year 2014, the expenses for fuel and oil in total are 2,891,676,076 ALL or 28.9 million euros

For 2015, 3,025,725,865 ALL or 30.2 million euros

For 2016, 2,852,868,035 ALL or 28.5 million euros

For 2017, 2,731,729,529 ALL or 27.3 million euros

For 2018, 3,056,725,547 ALL or 30.5 million euros

For 2019, 3,559,678,588 ALL or 35.5 million euros

For 2020, 3,265,584,608 ALL or 32.6 million euros

For 2021, 3,314,042,649 ALL or 33.1 million euros

For the year 2022, 3,459,887,191 ALL or 34.5 million euros

For the year 2023, 3,628,427,953 ALL or 36.2 million euros

For the year 2024, the expenses for fuel and oil in total until August 27 are 2,558,367,116 ALL or 25.5 million euros, and compared to the same period last year, they are 3.1 million euros more.

The total fuel expenses of the Rama government 2014-2024 reach the total value of 34,344,713,157 ALL or 342 million euros

Ineffective use of budget funds
Lack of discipline of transport expenses, administration and use of fuel in years. (measurement of fuel consumption for every 100/km, documented never leads to these consumption values ​​as above).
Deficiencies and violations in compliance with rules and financial discipline are practices contrary to:

Law no. 10296, dated 08.07.2010 "On financial management and control", amended;
Law no. 9936, dated 26.06.2008 "On the Management of the Budgetary System in RSH" as amended;
Instructions of the Ministry of Finance according to the years "On the management of assets in the public sector".
