PD denounces the government's plan: It is giving the Palace of Brigades with PPP, a hotel for dignitaries will be built in the park

The Democratic Party has denounced a government plan to give the Presidential Palace, known as the Palace of Brigades, to the PPP.

The DP deputy, Ina Zhupa, stated that the plan envisages that in this protected area, an accommodation hotel will be built for foreign delegations or for Albanian dignitaries, a parking lot for visitors, or recreational facilities for visitors.

It is located in front of the Palace of the Brigades, the Presidential Palace, an object of cultural and historical value.

In fact, I came here today to denounce another PPP grant plan by the Albanian government. With the new management plan approved by the Ministry of Culture, it has been provided that the Presidential Palace, known as the Palace of Brigades, but also an oasis of 37 hectares, park space, which is also part of the historical assembly, will be given with PPP. To be given with a concession to a private person of the next order, chosen by the government.

In the new management plan, which will soon turn into an agreement that can be brought to us by the Ministry of Culture, it is foreseen that in these premises, in this protected area, an accommodation hotel will be built, as the plan says, for foreign delegations or for Albanian personalities. To build a restaurant, as the plan says, to build a parking lot for visitors, to build recreational facilities for visitors.

So the whole focus is how to build on this green oasis. How to bite the park and how to give these hotels, restaurants to a private for his benefits. While this is a building of historical value, a building that was offered by the Italian government a long time ago to be restored for free due to the fact that it was designed by Italian architects.

The government has not accepted and has left in oblivion this project that the Italian government has offered and has allowed it to degrade in these 9 years the condition of the Palace of the Brigades with the reasoning that just as they did with the theater, for a little moisture, they reason that here it must be given with concession and PPP. This is the path they are choosing for the management of our cultural heritage.

Dhe për ta ndalur këtë, ditën e mërkurë unë kam pasur seancën e parë dëgjimore në Komision pikërisht për ndryshimin e ligjit të trashëgimisë kulturore, për t’i mbyllur rrugën njëherë e mirë çdo PPP-je që parashikohet nga qeveria për trashëgiminë tonë kulturore, për pasurinë tonë kombëtare.

Në rast se ligji miratohet, në rast se kalon ligji, mbyllet rruga njëherë e mirë këtyre koncensioneve, si ajo e Butrintit, si kjo e Pallatit të Brigadave apo të tjera që kanë plane të menaxhimit të ngjashme.

Mesa duket maxhoranca nuk e ka këtë vullnet sepse i ka ndarë planet dhe është gati për oligarkët e radhës, për bashkëpunëtorët e radhës, për klientët e radhës, për njerëzit që bashkëndajnë të mirat që vijnë nga trashëgimia kulturore shqiptare.
