According to her, it is about Besjona Dede Mehmetaj, who won the tenders through her husband's company, Lulëzim Mehmetaj.

What worries the Democratic Party are not Veliaj's protective measures, but the extent of his and his associates' thefts.

It is about Erjon Veliaj's employee with various functions at the time, Besjona Dede Mehmetaj, who with Veliaj's firm benefited from a public contract through the commercial entity StarTek shpk owned by her husband Lulëzim Mehmetaj, in which she herself has also previously performed. she as employed, specifically:

-On February 8, 2016, the contract for the tender that cost the citizens 80 days of protest with the object: "Playground in the Lake Park", worth 708 thousand euros, together with the addition of the contract concluded on 04.08.2017; which included the children's train, which according to the citizens has never been put into operation even though trees were cut for this purpose.

- On February 5, 2018, the contract with UKT Tirana with object: "Water supply and sewerage network for the object: Rehabilitation of Roma Community Settlements" worth about 77 thousand euros related to the merger of operators of which the company was a part (StarTek Shpk) .

- Pursuant to VKB VKB 53 dt: 26:4/2018 For determining the procedure for negotiation with private developers who seek to enter into a business/exchange agreement with the Municipality of Tirana for the development of assets owned by it, "Startek" shpk the husband of Besjona Dede Mehmetaj signed the contract as an entrepreneur for a public property with the firm of Erion Veliaj.

- "Startek" shpk of the husband (Lulëzim Mehmetaj) of the employee of Veliaj Besjona Dede Mehmetaj was approved by Edi Rama by means of the decision 2/3 dt 2.9.2019 and holds the status of strategic investor for the investment project with strategic potential "Dërmi Resort " in a total area of ​​133,000 m2 in Cadastral Area No. 1481, Himare, investment value 13.7 million euros.
