Protest against Veliaj, Berisha: You showed the Albanians and Europe that you do

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke from the rally on Rrugë e Shpresa, where he also stopped at the protest held yesterday in front of Tirana City Hall.

Berisha congratulated the citizens who protested against Erion Veliaj and said that yesterday, the protesters showed that they do not agree with the theft of their money.

The chief democrat added that Veliaj has returned taxpayers' money to luxury 5-star hotels and private palaces for himself and his gang.

"In your powerful protest yesterday at the town hall, you represented every citizen of this country who hates these merciless thieves who steal day, night and at any time. That steal to the core of Albanian citizens. That steal the budget. Their national assets and transform them into personal family assets. Your mission is sacred! The battle without return is the battle of victory.

Yesterday you showed the Albanians, you showed the nation and the whole of Europe that you never agree with the theft of 100 percent of your taxes, your money, as in no other country in the world.

That you never agree with Erion Veliaj, this monster who disgraces the name of man. That considers the Albanian citizens, considers the citizens of the capital as beings to be deceived. As a being to be stolen. As a being to be humiliated. For two or three years in a row, he has been talking about the imaginary forest of 1 million trees only because he has stolen the cost of 1 million saplings. For two or three years in a row, he takes the tenders with his sample directors.

He returns taxpayers' money to luxury 5-star hotels. He turns citizens' money into private buildings for himself and his gang.

He sends citizens' money to an offshore account and disappears without a trace over 130 million euros paid by hard work, the sweat of Albanians for the Tirana burner, for which there is neither a trace nor a trace.

Is there a fairer protest than this?

Is there a more deserving protest and revolt than this?

No and no.

Therefore, I salute you and all those who yesterday shook the foundations of this rotten government", declared Berisha.
