The murder of Eglantin Proga, Salianji criticizes the police: Extreme use of gangs

Democratic MP Ervin Salianji has reacted to the serious incident in Pogradec, where Eglantin Proga was raped to death.

In a post on Facebook, Salianji writes that Rama failed to protect the public interest.

Salianji said that the leaders of the state police, unfortunately, repeatedly, are not interested in clarifying the events, but in clarifying the government's side.

In the case of the murder in Pogradec, they put "guns in their hands" to the media, just like they put the deceased Klodian Rasha, just as they blamed every voice and guaranteed that TIMS had no interference, in the same style as they defend the gangs that threaten the voters!

A Prime Minister who protects the public interest holds responsible the institutions that failed, the CM who has an interest in not demotivating the crime squads just before the elections and the media and opinion!

The incident is one of the most shameful stains placed on the police. The event happened around 19:05 where the author Denis Meçe met and then had a conflict with Egli Proga about 20 meters from his bar, in front of another bar owned by the citizen Voltan Sh. arrested for concealing the incident afterwards. According to the sources, the injured person stayed for about 30 minutes until the ambulance arrived, while the perpetrator immediately left the scene. The actions of the police in the first moments were suspicious, since official sources within it for the media reacted in the first moments considering the incident accidental and the drunken victim who had fallen on the street. At this moment, the police did not consider this area as an incident site and removed the checkpoints (cones) from the incident site, the whole situation around 19:40-19:50. 

At around 19:50, Egli Proga is confirmed as dead, the police return to the scene, put the crime scene tapes and only after the death of the 42-year-old, they start seizing the footage. Although the injured man had numerous signs of violence on his head during transport to the hospital, this still did not prompt the police to investigate the murder in advance.

The news that we were not dealing with an accident but with a murder, was first released by the media around 09:00. While only at 10:10 a.m. the day after the event or 16 hours later, the police reacted to the arrests and the event, the murder was not reported even with preliminary information. After the initial report where all media without exception called it a murder after confirmation from local police spokesmen, some of them reported that the preliminary sources were unofficial, as a way to cover up the event.

Although the case was referred to as intentional murder, the prosecution reclassified the crime as manslaughter!

This case illustrates the extreme use that gangs make of particular segments of the police, its use because the appointments of local leaders are certified to positions only by the blessing of the gangs!

Repeated chronicle that in order to fix the manipulation of the event, neither the local directorate nor the police station reacts, but the General Directorate.

As in every case, for the police leaders, the victim is to blame!

The politically responsible minister of the interior has not reacted yet, maybe he is thinking of resigning to maintain the same standard that was set with the resignation after the manipulation of Klodian Rasha's murder!
