20-year-old Albanian man arrested in Italy for hiding d*og on bicycle

A 20-year-old Albanian youth has been arrested by carabinieri in Parma, Italy, accused of trafficking in narcotics. Italian media report that he was detained in the Via Dei Mille area after his behaviour drew suspicion from authorities.

The Albanian was riding his bike when, distinguishing the carabinieri, he tried to turn around to avoid control. During the stop, his nervousness and trepidation increased suspicions of police, who discovered three cellophane wrappers of cocaine in his pocket.

The most unusual development occurred when carabinieri checked his bike. They noticed the bell wasn't functioning normally, and after a detailed inspection they discovered that its mechanism had been modified to hide drugs. Six other wraps of cocaine were found inside it.

During the operation, police also seized a significant sum of money in euros, suspected of being proceeds from the sale of drugs. In an abbreviated court process, the 20-year-old was sentenced to one year in prison, a sentence that was converted to probation.

Italian authorities are investigating whether the teenager is part of a wider drug distribution network.
